Bay West LLC is seeking a hardworking safety conscious Industrial Services/Environmental Field Technician. Primary duties will include industrial cleaning of equipment and/or facilities at multiple client locations while demonstrating a high level of customer service with our clients and the project managers at Bay West.

The chosen candidate will be trained and mentored by a highly respected, strong tenured Bay West Site Supervisor/Environmental Field Technician. This individual has been with us over 20 years. You will work side by side and learn from the best!


Practical and manual activities on a daily basis. This position can be labor-intensive; all employees must adhere to and follow all safety procedures set both by Bay West and clients.
Working some evening and weekend shifts as needed will be mandatory.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers at all times.
Operate and troubleshoot common shop equipment consisting of air compressors, generators, pressure washers, pumps, etc. Perform cleaning activities including but not limited to: shoveling, scraping, vacuuming, pressure-washing, etc.
Develop summaries, generate photographic logs, and input field work documentation using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Be part of an Emergency Response (ER) team (1 week of being on-call 24/7 every 5 weeks) assisting in ER activities including determining equipment needs, loading equipment, and performing clean-up activities.
Assist with our Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) partnership with Ramsey County. Duties include accepting, documenting, sorting, packaging, and arranging for disposal of HHW items, greeting customers, determining their needs, and answering their questions.


Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification and/or up to date on 8-hour refresher preferred, not required. If you do not currently have the OSHA HAZWOPER Certification Bay West will cover the cost for you to obtain one
Must be comfortable and able to work while wearing Level A, B, and C Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes a full-face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) along with Tyvek and Saranex suits.

Ability to lift 50 pounds, work at elevated heights, work in permit required confined spaces and in hazardous industrial environments.
Previous experience and chemical safety knowledge of cleaning chemicals, detergents, flammable solvents, acids and bases as well as other hazardous substances and wastes highly recommended.
Reliable means of transportation.
Equipment operator experience a plus.
Must pass drug test, background check, physical exam and be cleared to wear a respirator.
Class B CDL with Hazardous Material Endorsement or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
Position does require working evenings, weekends and out of town when necessary, typically 1 week a month or less working out of town
